Presidents Message
Dear GCBA Members
Happy April.
March was a strong and successful month for the GCBA. Business in Bloom brought together a vibrant group of professionals for an evening of meaningful connections, collaboration, and community. Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and helped make the night so impactful.
As we move into April, we shift from renewing our businesses to something just as important—renewing ourselves.
Your business grows as strong as you feel. And if you’ve been running on empty, feeling overwhelmed, or haven’t had a moment to reset, you’re not alone. It happens to all of us when we’re focused on everything and everyone else. Over time, it can show up in missed opportunities, lower energy, and slower momentum.
This month’s General Membership Meeting continues that conversation.
Join us on Tuesday, April 14th at 7:00pm at the NEW Gold Coast Library (146 Glen Head Road, Glen Head), where member and Purple Table owner Maryann Sucich-Masari will share practical ways to take care of yourself, make time for yourself, and reset in a way that supports both your well-being and your business.
To carry that idea forward, I invite you to take part in our Business Owner Refresh & Reset Challenge. Share how you are taking time to reset or recharge—photos welcome—and you will be entered into a raffle at our upcoming Health & Wellness Fair.
I’m so excited to announce the GCBA Health & Wellness Fair will take place on July 11th at the Glenwood Landing American Legion. This community event will bring together local businesses, wellness professionals, and residents for a day focused on health, connection, and growth. Members are welcome to get involved, and our first planning meeting will be announced soon, led by Justin Jefferson.
You may have noticed member events being featured on our calendar and in this newsletter. I encourage you to submit your own and be part of what’s happening across our business community. Visit The Events Page
Warmly,
